Henry® Monolithic Surfacing
Monolithic is a unique application of waterproofing asphalt emulsion with chopped fiberglass reinforcement that is applied in a single, seamless spray application. Finished material yields 72 dry mils of asphalt reinforced with Bentonite clay and random oriented fiberglass reinforcement.
Characteristics of a monolithic surfacing includes:
- Maintenance system applied directly to existing roof membrane
- Maintenance system combined with a base layer of polyester and emulsion to existing roof
- Surfacing layer to cold-applied BUR system
- Surfacing layer to cold-applied SBS modified bitumen system for extended systems warranties
Monolithic surfacing offers several advantages to building owners and specifiers:
